While undergoing treatment at the CyberKnife Center at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, you'll be backed by an impressive team of specialists and health care professionals all dedicated to your health and well being. Your treatment team will include a radiation oncologist, physician specialist, physicist, and other healthcare professionals, such as our CyberKnife coordinator Linda Stark, to ensure your treatment runs smoothly and that you are comfortable.
MedStar Franklin Square's core team of board-certified physicians specialized in CyberKnife therapy include a neurosurgeon, thoracic surgeon, interventional pulmonologist, surgical oncologist, and radiation oncologists. All of our team members have extensive training on treating patients using CyberKnife, and participate in continuing education to keep up to date on the most recent advancements.
Chief, Radiation Oncology, Medical Director, CyberKnife Program
David Perry, MD, is chief and medical director of the Radiation Oncology Center at at MedStar Franklin Square and the CyberKnife Program. He is board certified in radiation oncology and is credentialed in the use of CyberKnife.
Dr. Perry completed his residency at the Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan and completed a fellowship at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He has presented at many national and international meetings, and is a member of several professional societies including The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, The American Brachytherapy Society, and the CyberKnife Society.

Dr. Nowak Choi did her medical training at Thomas Jefferson University and completed her residency in radiation oncology at Thomas Jefferson University’s Bodine Center for Radiation Therapy. She has been trained in CyberKnife Radiosurgery and brachytherapy. She is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology and the American Society for Clinical Oncology. She participates in clinical trials and is presently a co-investigator looking at the use of Telehealth in radiation oncology.
Dr. Orwat received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina where she also completed her residency in radiation oncology. She is a member of the American Society of Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. She also has experience in the use of stereotactic radiosurgery and brachytherapy.

Linda J. Hall, RTT
Chief CyberKnife Therapist
Linda Hall is the chief radiation oncology therapist for the CyberKnife Center at MedStar Franklin Square. She is board certified in radiology and in radiation oncology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Hall completed a residency program in radiation oncology at the University of Maryland Hospital. She has more than 20 years of experience working with cancer patients.
James E. Rodgers, PhD
Director of CyberKnife Physics
James Rodgers is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiological Physics and is a fellow of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine. Before joining The CyberKnife Center at MedStar Franklin Square, Dr. Rodgers was lead physicist for the CyberKnife stereotactic radiosurgery program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
Dr. Rodgers served for 25 years as associate professor of radiation medicine and chief of medical physics at Georgetown University's School of Medicine. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and more than 70 abstracts and presentations in the fields of medical and health physics. He is an invited speaker at national and international meetings. He earned his doctorate in physics at the University of California at Riverside and trained in medical physics at Tufts New England Medical Center under a National Cancer Institute postdoctoral fellowship.
Linda D. Stark, PA-C
CyberKnife Center Coordinator
Linda Stark is the clinical program coordinator for the CyberKnife Center at MedStar Franklin Square. She is a board-certified physician assistant and has worked with cancer patients and their families for more than 20 years.
Ms. Stark was awarded an AA degree from Essex Community College where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. As clinical program coordinator, she helps patients by scheduling their CyberKnife appointments and by answering questions about their treatment.
