Gabriel A. Del Corral, MD, is a fellowship-trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon, part of the MedStar Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore and MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Recognized as the region’s most experienced Microsurgeon/Gender Affirmation surgeon, he leads the MedStar Center for Gender Affirmation, offering comprehensive care, support, and surgical services for patients who wish to transition their gender. He applies the latest, most innovative surgical techniques to optimize outcomes, the recovery process, and comfort for his patients.
Additionally, Dr. Del Corral specializes in breast reconstruction surgery, with a specialized interest in working with breast cancer patients. He has extensive experience performing a wide variety of breast reconstruction procedures including the DIEP/TUG flap as well as several other flap techniques, the two-stage tissue expander/implant, and the one-stage direct to implant reconstruction. He is also highly skilled in treating patients with post-surgical lymphedema using the most advanced microsurgical techniques. This includes lymphatic surgery to treat lymphedema and breast cancer-related lymphedema.
