John Covington, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist serving the community of Towson, MD, and the Baltimore region. Dr. Covington attended Albany Medical College, where he received his medical degree, and completed his residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and fellowship at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Dr. Covington is a part of Towson Gastroenterology. Dr. Covington also sees patients at the new Center for Digestive Disease at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. Dr. Covington provides comprehensive care for diseases of the digestive tract, specializing in general adult gastroenterology and hepatology. He offers patients the latest diagnostic and treatment options available including procedures such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, ERCP, and small bowel capsule endoscopy.
Board certified in both gastroenterology and internal medicine, Dr. Covington is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association as well as the American College of Gastroenterology. When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Covington enjoys fly fishing, upland bird hunting and wildlife habitat management, among other interests.
