Baltimore — (Nov. 11, 2014) — In an ongoing effort to raise awareness of lung disease, experts at the new Angelos Center for Lung Diseases at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center will host the “Living with Lung Disease” webcast on Thursday, Nov. 20 from 7 to 8 p.m. Moderated by WMAR-TV news anchor Kelly Swoope, the free online forum will feature six experts in an engaging question and answer session. Viewers can tune in remotely from the convenience of their home or office to learn about the causes of lung disease, ways to prevent it, screening for it, and treatments available to help lung disease patients live a fuller life.
From emphysema to asthma to lung cancer, millions of Americans are living with lung disease. The experts at MedStar Franklin Square treat more of these patients than another community hospital in the state of Maryland. The new Angelos Center for Lung Diseases at MedStar Franklin Square, offers a wide variety of diagnostic, advanced clinical treatment, rehabilitative services and preventative programs. The Center facilitates close collaboration across a transdisciplinary team of lung specialists, leading to faster, accurate diagnoses, improved patient care, and the best possible outcomes for patients.
