MedStar Health: Angelos Center for Lung Diseases at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center

The Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Cancer Institute is a modern brick, concrete and glass building on the campus of MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center.
9103 Franklin Square Dr.
Suite 1800
Baltimore, MD 21237

The Angelos Center for Lung Diseases at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center provides a comprehensive, integrated approach to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of pulmonary illnesses and thoracic conditions. This includes lung nodules and lung cancer, esophageal cancer, hiatal hernia and GERD, achalasia, chest wall deformities, and airway disease, among other conditions.

Our multidisciplinary team includes pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, lung cancer doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists. Our thoracic specialists work closely together to create individualized treatment plans for each patient in collaboration with their colleagues in medical oncology, radiation oncology, gastroenterology, and interventional radiology. In addition, through their participation in weekly interdisciplinary thoracic oncology conferences, our patients can be confident of receiving the highest quality care.

At our center, patients have access to the latest, most effective medications, therapies, treatment technologies, and surgical techniques. Our surgeons are well versed in the use of both open and minimally invasive procedures, including robotic, thoracoscopic, low dose CT screening for lung cancer, and laparoscopic surgical techniques, in addition to endoscopic and bronchoscopic treatment options.

Thanks to a generous donation from local philanthropist Peter Angelos, MedStar Franklin Square is able to provide these valuable services from a convenient, centralized location. For our patients, that means faster, more accurate diagnoses; seamless interaction across various specialties and services; and a clearer path toward the best possible outcomes.
